About
Are you concerned about the turmoil in society?
Are you concerned about the turmoil in society, around the world, including in Canada and especially in the U.S.? Racism flourishes, thrives and proliferates, in both countries. The U.S. and Canada are divisive and dysfunctional. You know why this is? There are many reasons but one reason that is often overlooked is that racism, divisiveness and turmoil involve emotions. You can’t have turmoil without emotions. When emotions get flared up, amongst people who disagree, especially about a contentious issue, you get turmoil. If the emotions don’t get flared up, there is no turmoil.
Emotional Contagion
Emotions in Society
BOOK
NOW AVAILABLE.....
In the book Emotions Don't Think I talk about how emotional contagion contributes to social and political turmoil and how people can work at overcoming emotional contagion to lower the turmoil. The impact of emotions and feelings during social - political upheaval has been strong and has continued this way for years. I write about how to manage them to lower their impact, in any future events, since they can get destructive.
The book Emotions Don’t Think: Emotional Contagion in a Time of Turmoil was published in 2021. Emotional contagion continues to be rampant at a time of political, cultural and social upheaval. Read about this and how contagious emotions cause the turmoil felt around the world in recent years, particularly 2020-2022 and probably continuing into the future, and how to slow it down. The book is now available on Amazon or Indigo, or from Crossfield Publishing in Ontario, Canada. Visit the book’s Facebook page at Emotions Don’t Think or my author’s Facebook page at DrBruce Hutchison for more information.
