Emotional Contagion

Emotions in Society

People get emotional about what they believe, and so when their beliefs are criticized, challenged or even attacked, their emotions usually get riled up. This is natural. It is human nature. It happens to most of us. Feelings and emotions spread easily in society at these times. But we have to manage them for the betterment of all of us. Understanding how to manage them effectively helps lower the turmoil and destruction, since emotions drive actions.  I talk about how to do this in the book.

The book Emotions Don’t Think: Emotional Contagion in a Time of Turmoil was published in 2021. Emotional contagion continues to be rampant at a time of political, cultural and social upheaval. Read about this and how contagious emotions cause the turmoil felt around the world in recent years, particularly 2020-2022 and probably continuing into the future, and how to slow it down. The book is now available on Amazon or Indigo, or from Crossfield Publishing in Ontario, Canada. Visit the book’s Facebook page at Emotions Don’t Think or my author’s Facebook page at DrBruce Hutchison for more information.
